Carol Ann Baker

Carol Ann Baker, 86, passed away peacefully at Atrium Pineville on January 7, 2025. 

She was born in Yonkers, NY on December 24, 1938 to the late George and Ethel McMahon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, George J. Baker, Jr.; siblings, Beverley Marsh, George McMahon, and Charles McMahon. 

Carol was a true caregiver to her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a good loving mother with a kick and always had a good sense of humor. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and making sure the laundry was done. Carol leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her children, George J. Baker, III (Theresa) and Deborah Pease (James); brother-in-law, Bob Baker; grandchild, Lindsay Hawthorne (Derrick); and her great-grandchildren, Kyla, Dylan, and Layla. 

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
