Carol Andrews

Gastonia – Carol Dow Andrews, 67, passed away on July 11, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

Carol was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on November 29, 1954 to the late Edgar Murchison Andrews and Mabel Elizabeth Warren Andrews.

Like her mother, whom she adored, Carol was a career teacher (English teacher) for Gaston County. Carol retired in 2011 after 35 years of dedicated services.  She was never married and never had a child.  Her parents predeceased her.  In addition to being a member of First Presbyterian Church, she had also become very fond of Olney Presbyterian Church.  Carol was a very sentimental person; the belongings of her ancestors reminded her of them, so she kept antiques and sentimental items around her.  She was a giving person during her life.  She was a kind soul and always had a very positive disposition, even though she was in poor health and pain for well over the last decade of her life.  She possessed the kind of enduring positive outlook and personality most only wish they had. 

Left to cherish her memory is many wonderful friends and her beloved caregivers, Terry, Nancy, Tammy, Kim, Dawn, Tami, and Kristen.

Interment will be beside her parents at Gaston Memorial Park, Singing Tower III section at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
