Gastonia – Carl Howard Parsons, Jr. 82 of Gastonia passed away peacefully
July 23, 2013 at the Robin Johnson House
He was a native of Gaston County, born February 26, 1931 to the late Carl Howard and Ruby Sams Parsons, Sr. he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Arthur Douglas Parsons.
Junior enjoyed old movies, Lone Ranger, Gun Smoke and all Home improvement shows. He was a collector of all kind of tools. Most of all he loved going to Tweetsie Railroad . Junior was a friend to all, back in the day he helped all the merchants' downtown (Miles and Anna). He had attended Love Memorial Baptist Church in his younger years.
Survivors include his sister Shirley Bolus of Gastonia; brother Gary Parsons and wife Betty of Gastonia; nieces and nephews Mark Bolus and wife Barbara, Judy Ann Parsons, Trina Lynn Parsons, Gary Parsons, Jr., and Jeff parsons; several great nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00am prior to the service
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves
