Gastonia – Charles Edgar "Bubber" Underdown, 81, passed away on December 29, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born February 7, 1937 in Lowell, NC to the late Clarence A Underdown and Lucille Young Underdown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Rachel Hadden, Vickie Bradshaw, brother, Ronnie Underdown, nephews, Ronnie Underdown, Jr. and Clarence A. Underdown, Jr.
He worked at Hoover Machine Shop for a number of years, and retired from Pharr Yarns.
Charles is survived by his brothers, Alvin, Darrel, Clarence, Jr. and sisters, Patsy Holler, Glenda Gregory, Sylvia Sain and Rita Underdown and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., prior to the Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
