Gastonia – Ralph Bryant Berrong, 48 passed away peacefully on December 19, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Gaston County on October 17, 1969 to the late Wanda Mae Rogers Berrong and James Rayfield. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother Joey Rayfield and his sister Clancy V. Patel.
Bryant was a very giving person, he loved to help people and make everyone feel special; especially doing for the kids. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Bryant also enjoyed playing the fiddle and doing handy work.
Left to cherish his memory includes his girlfriend of many years, which he adored, and loved taking care of Gail Brown; his father Jimmy Rayfield; brothers Jimmy Berrong, Bryant Rayfield and James Bryant Rayfield, Jr.; sisters Dana Rayfield and Joni Smith, and many nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., December 21, 2017 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 6:00 pm., Thursday in the Chapel with Reverend Mike Criswell officiating.
