Brenda Sue McAllister Hudson

Brenda Sue McAllister Hudson, 74, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024 at Highland Heights, Gastonia, NC

She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina, to Grady and Eula Hooper McAllister. She was preceded in death by many wonderful siblings. She was one of eleven.

Brenda was a member of Hillview Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She loved anything that had angels on it. 

Brenda is survived by her children, Grady Haney (Karen), Gail Phil (Jim) and Darrell Hudson (Andrea); brothers, Bud McAllister, Jerry McAllister, sisters, Virginia Payne, Thelma Simms and Jackie Harris; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Randy Arrowood and Pastor Leon Perkins officiating. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Wooten, Dusty Haney, Randy Haney, Cory Haas, Gary Haas and Brad Gilliland.
