Ranlo-Brenda Drennan Radford, 70 transitioned peacefully on May 4, 2019 at her residence with her family by her side.
Brenda was a hard worker who provided the necessities for her two sons.
She was retired from the Textile Industry. She also worked at Goodwill in Hickory and Advance Auto in Bessemer City.
Brenda was the daughter of the late Christine Drennan Garris and the step daughter of J.B. Garris. She was also the granddaughter of the late Howard and Fannie Drennan. She was preceded in death by her brother Roger and a sister Joyce Cotter, special friends Peggy Bumgardner and Brenda Clever.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Robert and Brian Radford of the home, her twin sister Linda Drennan Parker of Ranlo, who she dearly loved to the moon and back, she also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and her extended family Sue and Marshall Williams, Barbara Jenkins, April Prestwood, Bobbie Spivey, Margaret Scott, James and Peggy Kirk whom she loved dearly.
Special thanks to Dr. Sandra Shultz, Gaston Hospice and their great team of case workers, the Chaplains, the CNA's and Social Workers, to whom we are forever grateful. To Chastity Birkman and her daughter Jasiyah who always made our day a little brighter and for making Brenda's room so clean and fresh.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 7th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
A Celebration of life service will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 8th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Kevin Summey and David Murray officiating.
Interment will follow Hollywood Cemetery with the releasing of the doves.
