Cramerton N.C. - God did not promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, nor sun without rain, but HE did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way. Bobby was born April 28, 1971 to Sue Hartwell and Bobby Smith Sr. in Charleston W.V. Bobby lived life to the fullest, he was a gentle, kind and giving person. He always had a bright smile and contagious laugh. He was a brave soul and never afraid of what came his way. The love he had for his friends and family was abundant. Those who knew him loved him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his father Bobby Smith Sr.
Survived by his mother Sue Hartwell, sister Jackie Lewis, brother Richard Smith, his very best friend David Masters, his baby Coal; a close cousin Andy Malay and aunt Connie Smith. Numerous Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family and friends will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service
A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Assembly of God Church, 777 South Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, NC
