Belmont – Robert Wesley "Bob" Franklin, 55 passed away peacefully on February 1, 2018.
He was born in Sylva, North Carolina on November 15, 1962 to Lyna Pangle Franklin and the late Arthur Franklin.
Bobby was a member of the Fraley Memorial Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed helping others and working anytime he could at the church. He loved his church family! Bobby was a handy man; he enjoyed doing anything for anybody.
Left to cherish his memories includes his mother, Lyna Pangle; brother, Richard and wife Cathy Franklin; sisters Suzanne and Catherine Franklin, Sandy and husband Mike Scruggs; Cindy Franklin; Aunts and Uncles, Martha Jones (James); Alice Phillips; Wanda Griffin (Dickie); Jesse Franklin (Mary); Dewey Franklin (Lucille) and Phillip Franklin; his caregiver and dear friend Angie and Alton Windsor, and her family Sabrina and Vonn Isenhour, Donnie McGinnis, Linda and Don McGinnis, Staci Addy and Brayden and special friend Don Hurst and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10th at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church, 3025 Fraley Church Road, Gastonia
Celebration of life service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10th at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Warner Doles and Reverend Charles Keller officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Sylva.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fraley Memorial Baptist Church, Post Office Box 775, Lowell, NC 28098
