Bobby R. Black

Gastonia Mr. Bobby Ray Black, 78, of 505 Kelly Street, died March 11, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Gaston County, son of the late Beverly Columbus and Zella Yount Black. He was a retired Auto Salesman and Bondsman. Survivors include his children: Bobby Canipe Sr. of Mt. Holly, David Canipe and Brenda Canipe both of Cherryville, Dana Canipe of York S.C., long time friend Sarah Grigg, grandchildren Bobby Canipe Jr. of Mt.Holly, Trey Canipe of Dallas, Samantha and Brittany McClure both of York S.C., Jarrett Coleman and Victoria Nance both of Cherryville. Funeral service will be 3:00 Wednesday, March 18 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel Family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia 704 864-5144 is serving the family.
