Dallas- Bobbie Jenkins Payne, 69, went to be with the Lord May 10, 2016 at Watauga Medical Center.
Bobbie was born in Gaston County July 4, 1946 to the late Marvin and Irene Jenkins.
She is preceded in death by her son, Christopher.
Bobbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Mountain- View FWB, she loved singing and taking care of her family.
Survivors include her loving husband of almost 54 years, Reverend Don Payne; children, Michael Payne (Cathy), Donna Norman (Jacky) and Jeff Payne (Jennifer); 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Jenkins and sister, Betty White.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 14th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Celebration of life service will be held Sunday, May 15th 3:00 p.m. at Mountain-View FWB, 682 Dallas Spencer Mountain Road with Reverends Sherman Branch and Robert Sneed officiating. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
