Gastonia – Robert Lee "Bob" Mauney, Sr., 70 passed away February 12, 2019 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 10, 1948 in Clover, SC to the late Marion Wesley Mauney, Jr. and Agnes Juanita King Mauney.
He was a loving husband, father, Paw Paw, amazing uncle, friend and one of the best story tellers who will be greatly missed…
Bob retired from Gaston County School System with over 30 years of
dedicated service.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kathy Parr Mauney;
his children, Robert "Bobby Lee" Mauney, Jr (Janna) and Brandy Mauney Horton; grandchildren, his best pal, Jake Horton and Kala Horton, Robert Lee "Bo" Mauney, III, Hannah Mauney and Staci Dale; brothers Billy Mauney (Debbie), Doug Mauney (Delena) and a sister Debbie Trull and Stacy Trull
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 16th at First Wesleyan Church with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Kenny Johnston and Captain Jonathan Raymer officiating.
