Gastonia – Robert "Bob" Howard Custar, 71 passed away suddenly from a motorcycle accident on April 18, 2018.
He was born in Stark County, Ohio on October 2, 1946 to the late Alva Howard and Beverly Joy Swann Custar. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his granddaughter Heather Sisk, great grandson Theodore Beach,
brothers, Steve and Barry Mitchell.
Bob was a retired construction heavy equipment operator. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Left to cherish his memories includes children, Sharon (Gaylord, Jr.) Dye, Rose (Scott) Sisk, Robert (Rose) Custar, Charles Custar, Russell (Beverly) Custar,
Jenztyn Custar; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; special friend Barbara Custar; brothers and sisters, Russell Early, Jr., Christie Early, Shannon Custar, Melissa Rigdon, Rebecca Mitchell
Celebration of life service will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 20th at Maylo United Methodist Church, 1900 Spencer Mtn. Road, Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends following the service.
