Dallas –Robert "Bob or Bobby" Marshall Cheves, 76, passed away on May 18, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Roanoke, Virginia on September 1, 1940 to the late Rodney and Margaret Cheves.
Bob earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg Virginia. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who is greatly missed by all who loved him. 'Say not in grief 'he is no more' but live in thankfulness that he was'
Left to cherish his memories includes his loving wife of 30 years, Kathryn Greene Cheves; and their daughter, Avery Cheves; also, surviving is his son, Robert Cheves, Jr. (Sabrina); and daughters Margaret Dancy (Dwayne); Elizabeth Brandon Alvin (Bill); grandchildren, Taylor and Madison Linker; Maggie and Sam Cheves; brother and sister, Bob was the eldest of three siblings; brother, Jim Cheves (Cheryl) and sister Patricia Baker (Leslie).
A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 7th at 10:30 a.m., at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Time section with the family to receive friends following service.
