1930-2016
Dallas – Bobby Blair Addington, Sr., 85, passed away on January 14, 2016 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
Bob was born in Cleveland County on October 16, 1930 to the late D.T and Edna McClure Addington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marge Stevenson Addington, son, Charles Brent Addington; brothers, Larry and Winfred Addington; and sister, Lois Addington
and departed companion, his dog "Bocephus"
Bob was a graduate of Dallas High School. He and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Masonic Lodge #263 Dallas. He worked in drywall construction most of his life.
Bob is survived by his sons, Bobby Addington, Jr., (Debbie); Brad Addington (Tammy); David Addington; grandchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Patrick, Brent, Bradley, Haley, Summer, Holly, Saige and Travis; 9 great grandchildren
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, January 17th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Caroll Flack officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society, 401 Harrison Oaks Boulevard, Suite 200, Cary, NC 27513
Interment will be private at a later date at Forest Lawn with his wife.
