Gastonia –Blondell Burnett Rollins, 88 passed away peacefully on January 9th with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Chimney Rock, NC on January 26, 1929; daughter to the late John and Julia Haynes Burnett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie B., James, Glenn and Bill Burnett; and by her sister, Alma Searcy.
Survived by sons, Marshall Rollins (Cookie) of Gastonia, NC; and Creed Rollins of Toledo, OH; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Betty Bame.
Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13th in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Jeremy Burrell officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
Interment will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13th at Son Rise Holiness Church, 90 Coyote Pass, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maranatha Church of God, 2435 Redbud Drive, Gastonia, NC 28056.
