Gastonia- Billy Eugene Griggs, 82 of 3606 Union Road Gastonia passed away November 28, 201.
He was born in Charlotte on January 27, 1929 to the late Elisha and Bessie Manus Griggs, and raised in the Deep Creek Community of Anson County, NC
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ethel Ann Messick Griggs, three brothers, and three sisters.
Billy was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had retired from Freightliner.
Survivors include sons Randall Clifton Griggs and wife Debra, Steven Eugene Griggs and wife Debbie, and brother Sandy Bryson of Martinsville, VA.
Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren
Celebration of life service will be 11:00am Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel
The family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park
