Betty Baker Terres

Gastonia – Betty Neil Baker Terres, 91, passed away on June 23, 2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Cramerton on May 28, 1931 to the late Henry and Rosa Lee Boyles Baker. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Flay Terres (Creator of Hugo Wooden Vases); daughter, René Terres; son-in-law, John Sanger; sister, Louise Teague; and brothers, Glen and Fred Baker.

Mrs. Terres was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed feeding the wildlife, squirrels, birds, and bunnies.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Patsy Sanger; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Patricia, Terres, Dana, Carman and husband Brian; great grandchildren, Kaiser, Boone, Caleb, and Victoria.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Gaston Memorial Park with Reverend Dr.  Brandon K. McCoy officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the graveside.
