She was born in Caldwell County, NC on July 20, 1925 to the late Leroy and Claudia Teague Bowman
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Hugh Williams Link
Bernice was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly! She loved spending time with her family and waited on each of them with love. Bernice was always known for her hardworking ethic and was the owner and operator of Gaston Food Products Company for 64 years for Tom's Snack Foods. Many admired her great sense of humor. She loved to cook, fish and garden and she enjoyed working in her azalea garden.
Survivors include her son, Reggie Link and wife Valerie of Belmont; grandchildren, Ryan and Jarrett;
Sisters, Rachel Poe and Aileen Quigley; several nieces and nephews
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, August 28th 6-8 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054
Graveside service will be Saturday, August 29th at 11:00 am at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC in Mausoleum B with Reverend Larry Liverett officiating.
