Gastonia-Benjamin Wilson Moody, Sr., 68 of 2703 Puritan Street went home to be with the Lord February 2, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital
He was a native of Scottsboro, AL., born October 1, 1942 to Lilly Mae White Moody and the late Woodrow Wilson Moody.

Ben was a US Army veteran and was retired from H & H Polishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Edna Harris

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Blondell Ledbetter Moody;
his children: Michael Lee Moody and wife Lechia of Asheboro, NC; Benjamin Wilson Moody, Jr. and wife Meloney of Gastonia, NC;
Cheryl Bright and husband Rick of Irmo, SC;
Beth Thompson and husband Jeff of Bessemer City, NC
Mother, Lilly Mae White Moody of Asheboro, NC
Sister, Edith Moody of Asheboro, NC
Ten grandchildren and one great grandson

Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, February 5, 2011at Gastonia Church of Christ with Michael Morton officiating
Family will receive friends 12:00 Noon until 1:00 prior to the service at the church
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with Military Honors by the N.C. National Honor Guard
Memorials may be made to Shiners Children Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Fl. 33607
