Dallas – Giles Benjamin "Ben" Brewer, 91, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House.
He was born in Gaston County, NC on March 6, 1927 to the late James Ellis and Ellen Victoria Auten Brewer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Giles "Butch" Brewer and a daughter, Ellen Brewer; sisters Addie Ballard, Virginia Paysour, Bright Hurst, Lula Summey, Hazel Black, Mary Weathers; brothers, J.D., Paul, Adrian, Jack and Bill Brewer.
Mr. Brewer was a former employee of Gaston County Sheriff's Department and also the Gaston County Landfill. Ben was a self employed Construction worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Left to cherish his memories includes his loving wife Lynne Haven Robinson Brewer; his children, Barbara Cobb, Roger and Ricky Brewer, Dottie Martin, Teresa and Bill Brewer; Sister, Betty Woody, Mollie Spivey
