Gastonia-Mrs. Jennivie 'Bea' Stanford Petty, 89, went home to be with her heavenly father December 17, 2010.
She was born May 9, 1921 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Henry and Jenny Keller Stanford.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Community Baptist Church, 823 Dallas Stanley Hwy. with Pastor Matt Seagle and Rev. Jonathan Herron officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Interment is at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons
Bea retired from textiles after many years. She was a charter member of Community Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years.
Bea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and special friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 73 years (married August 10, 1935) Paul Robert Petty who went home to be with the Lord July 23, 2008. And a great granddaughter Jessica Herron
Survivors include her daughters, Joann Faulkenberry and husband Charles of Williamston, SC, Jeanette Teague and husband Bob of Gastonia,
Peggy Herron and husband Larry of Gastonia,
Iris Hicks and husband Don of Gastonia,
15 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren, 11 great- great- grandchildren
