Audrey Gaddy Sappenfield

Audrey Gaddy Sappenfield, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Lake Wylie Assisted Living in Lake Wylie, South Carolina. She was born in Jamestown, North Carolina on January 31, 1932 and is the daughter of the late Loy Craig ("L.C.") and Hattie Viola Baldwin Gaddy.
Audrey was a graduate of High Point Junior College. She retired as an Inspector for Douglas Aircraft in Charlotte.
Audrey lived the most wonderful life. She loved to travel and was ready at a moment's notice to go around the world. She was an avid snow skier, anywhere she could find 5" of snow, and she was ready to ski. She traveled to the Alps, Aspen, Switzerland, if there was snow, she went. She was an accomplished Equestrian rider. She was born to travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert Warren Sappenfield.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her three loving children, Tim Sappenfield and his wife Debbie of Belmont, North Carolina, Robert Sappenfield of Charlotte, North Carolina and Lisa Anna and her husband Jason of Charleston, South Carolina; 6 wonderful grandchildren; 12 wonderful great grandchildren; one sister, Teeny.
Audrey's services will be private for the family at a later date.
