Gastonia – Aubrey Anthony Rampersad, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 25, 2018 at the White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 12, 1943 in Trinidad, West Indies to Sumaria Rampersad and the late Sonny Rampersad. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Gobin.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served in the Army, Defense Force, West Indies for over 33 years. He attended Riverwood Church of God. Aubrey loved the Lord.
Mr. Rampersad is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Roopah "Patty" Rampersad; his daughters, Lisa Rampersad Ramsey and husband Steve, and Marsha Rampersad; grandsons, Andrew Steven Anthony Ramsey and Adrian Mistry; brothers and sisters, Florence Henry, Chandra Ellis, Pamela Jagdeosingh,
Irma Rahaman, Terry Rampersad, Narine Rampersad and Daryl Ramoutarsingh;
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. Saturday with Rev. John Freeman officiating.
