Gastonia- Asa Beasley "Buddy" Mooneyhan, Jr., 75 passed away peacefully on December 24, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House..
He was born in Bishopville, South Carolina to the late Asa Beasley Mooneyhan, Sr and Virginia Tisdale Mooneyhan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty and Mary Barrett, Sara Mooneyhan.
Buddy was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He was a member of Pisgah ARP Church. Buddy worked at Gaston Memorial Hospital for over 27 years before retiring; and worked at Parkwood Baptist Church for over 10 years.
Left to cherish his memories includes his wife of 53 years, Linda Mauney Mooneyhan, and his children Kim Wright, Asa B. "Jamie" Mooneyhan, III, Everette Mooneyhan and wife Julie, Christopher Mooneyhan and wife Tia; grandchildren, Amy Hanks and John Wright, Garrett (Ester), Victoria (Kyle), Alex and Adam Mooneyhan sister, Anne (Thad) Richardson; brother in laws Dave and Don Barrett; several nieces, nephews and many friends and his beloved fur baby Lillie
Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 28th from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Pisgah Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church, with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard Lewis, Reverend David Belle Isle and Reverend Jeff Long officiating.
Interment will be private at a later date.
