Gastonia - Mrs. Anniebelle Smith Johnson, 91 formerly of Lake Wylie, SC went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2015

She was born in Spartanburg, SC on May 23, 1924 to the late Junie B and Nettie Ruth Culbertson Smith

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Neil Johnson Sr., brothers, Perry Smith, J.B. Smith and Charlie Smith; sisters, Mildred Michaels and Mary Gowen; grandson, Michael Anthony Smith

Anniebelle was a member of River Hills Community Church. She was a member of Mary Montgomery Eastern Star Chapter 231. Along with her husband, she was the former owner and operator of the Dairy Queen in Belmont for over 21 years.

Survivors include her son William Neil "Bill", Jr. and wife Sheila Leatherman Johnson; daughters Jean Marie Smith and husband Larry Dean Smith, Sr., Donna Michelle Carboni;
Grandchildren; Larry Smith, Scott Smith, Rusty Bridges, Janet Stroupe, Jeff Johnson and Jason Johnson
12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren

A Celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, November 25th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Lawing officiating

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Dogwood I section with the releasing of the doves

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons
