Annette Elizabeth Shields

Annette Elizabeth Shields, 84, of Gaston County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC.

Born on May 16, 1940, to the late Anderson and Dorothy Ferguson Lynn, Annette was a lifelong resident of Gaston County. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found immense joy in the love of her family.

Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Shields; her brother, Bill Lynn; and her sister, Kay Anthony.

She is survived by her loving sons, Ronald Lewis Shields Jr. and Richard Anderson Shields (Crystal); her adored grandchildren, Chase Shields (Breezy), Walker Shields, and Oakleigh Shields; and her precious great-grandson, Capps Shields. Annette is also survived by her sister, Vickie Crosby, and her husband, Dennis.

Annette will always be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the unconditional love she poured into her family. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever celebrated in the hearts of those who knew her.

The Shields family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Robin Johnson House for their exceptional care during Annette’s final days.
