Anne Haddock Stokes

Anne Haddock Stokes, 78, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side. 

She was a native of Pitt County, North Carolina, born February 6, 1946 to the late Robert and Louisa Haddock. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Melvin Broughton Stokes. 

Anne was a true caregiver and was always helping others. Caring for those in need is what filled her heart. In her free time she enjoyed baking, fishing, camping, and spending time with her family. Anne leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Lynn Manning (James) and Lisa Michelle Stone (Mark); brother, Wayne Haddock (Vicki); sister, Peggy Nobles; and her grandchildren, Cori Anne Grissom (Kristopher), Ryan Stokes Stone, and Logan Garrett Stone. 

Services will be private at a later date.
