Kings Mountain-Mrs. Anna Marie Willoughby Rhodes, 97, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at Summit Place of Kings Mountain.
She was born on September 13, 1917 in Preston, Maryland to the late Algie Henry and Myrtle Prettyman Willoughby.
She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a life member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She served on the Board of Elections for many years and the American Cancer Society.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merrill Jones Rhodes, Sr.
Survivors include her son, Jay Rhodes (Sandra);
grandsons, Jonathan (Karen), Jason (Shelley)
great grandchildren, Noah, Hudson and Adalyn
The family will receive friends 3:00 until 5:00pm Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain
Graveside Service will be 11: 00 am, Friday, December 19th at Junior Order Cemetery, Preston, Maryland with Reverend Shane Doty officiating
