Gastonia - Ann Bynum Glover, 78, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side. Ann was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Lacy Stafford Bynum.

Ann retired from NAPA after many years of service. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church where she was the Choir Director for many years. Ann loved to sing.

Ann as a young lady was an avid softball player. She played with the McAdenville Redettes. The team won the State Softball Tournament in 1963 and played in the World Series of Ladies Softball in 1963.

Ann is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bob Glover; sister, Libby Dye of Gastonia; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Sunday, September 3rd at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 151 Lighthouse Church Lane, Gastonia with A Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:30 p.m., Sunday at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Rev. Nick Mintz officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dick Bynum; eight sisters, Betty Robinson, Dean Hart, Mary Edith Roper, Shirley Mims, Rachel Click, Sue Dye, Billie Correll, Nita Dixon
