Angel Alfonso Ayala, a beloved teacher at Mountain Island Charter School and Pastor of RCDM Ministries, has passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Atrium Health Lincolnton on July 7, 2023. He was born on December 7, 1972, in El Salvador.
Angel was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many through his career and personal relationships. He will be remembered as a dedicated educator who had a profound impact on the next generation. As a teacher, businessman, entrepreneur, mentor, and community advocate, Angel's proudest accomplishments were numerous and influential.
Angel's passion for teaching was evident every day in the classroom. He not only imparted knowledge but also nurtured and guided his students to become the best versions of themselves. His commitment to education went beyond textbooks; he truly cared about the well-being and success of each student.
Outside of teaching, Angel dedicated himself to serving as a Pastor of RCDM Ministries. His love for God was unwavering, and he brought comfort and solace to countless individuals through his sermons and guidance. Angel's faith was an integral part of his life, driving him to live with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness.
As a social butterfly who never met a stranger, Angel had an uncanny ability to make meaningful connections with people from all walks of life. He possessed a genuine interest in others’ lives and always made sure to ask how they were doing when talking on the phone. Whether it was engaging in conversations with friends or reaching out to strangers for support or inspiration, Angel's warm personality left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
Above all else in his life, Angel cherished his family wholeheartedly. He loved his wife Judith Ayala endlessly and took immense pride in being a loving husband. Angel adored his children Isaac Ayala and Ashley Coleman, and he found immeasurable joy in watching them grow and flourish.
Angel's family was the center of his world. He treasured every moment spent together and created countless beautiful memories that will forever be cherished.
To honor the life of Angel Alfonso Ayala, two services have been arranged. The first is a visitation at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation in Gastonia on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Following this heartwarming visitation, a Celebration of Life service will begin at 2:00 PM in the same location with Pastor Dwayne Burks officiating.
