Gastonia – Robert Allen Hedrick, Sr., 66 died August 16, 2016 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House.
He was born in McAdenville, NC on December 26, 1949 to the late Robert and Lola Grigg Hedrick.
Allen enjoyed fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons Bryce and Avery; they were the apple of his eyes. He worked at Pharr Yarns for many years and had attended The Life Church.
Survived by his wife of 45 years, Patti Watkins Hedrick;
His son Rob Hedrick and his daughter Allison Cotton (Chris);
two wonderful grandsons Bryce and Avery Cotton;
brother, Rick Hedrick (Teresa);
sisters Diane Babson (Clyde), Lois Martin, Faye High (Morrisett)
Family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the 3:30 p.m. service.
A Celebration of life Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Sammy Oxendine and Reverend Mike Cowart officiating.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Time II
Family will be at the home of the daughter Allison and Chris Cotton, 1021 Ayrshire Lane, Dallas, NC
