Dallas - Alfred Jenkins "Freddy" Hoffman, 64 died August 13, 2016 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Gaston County on July 5, 1952 to Helen Varnum Hoffman and the late Alfred Jenkins Hoffman, Sr.
Freddy was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. He was a graduate of Dallas High School and worked in carpentry and was also a draftsman. He enjoyed fishing, camping and most of all spending time with his grandbabies who referred to him as Pawpaw Fred.
Survived by his mother Helen V. Hoffman; children, John Hoffman and girlfriend Dare Dellinger; Dru Parker and husband Greg, Hanna Weston and husband Joe; his wonderful grandchildren Avery, Jake and Pierson Parker and Jaxon Weston; and a sister Devron Hoffman and her son Kevin Williams
Family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 am prior to the 12 Noon service
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Holy Communion Lutheran Church with Reverend David T. Drysdale, II officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery
Pallbearers will be Lee Robinson, Kevin Williams, Matthew Leonard, Chad Jordon, Eric Hoffman and Andrew Stamey
