Gastonia- Alex Charles "Spanky" Gordon, II, 56 passed away at his residence on June 1, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Gaffney, (Cherokee County) South Carolina on March 31, 1959 to the late Alex Charles "A.C." Gordon and Myrtis Robbins Gordon. He was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders Inc. "Standing for those who stood for us with Honor, Respect and Dignity" and the Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Debbie Haney Gordon;
his children Shane Gordon and Tresa Gordon; brother Scott Gordon and sisters Pam Reynolds, Wanda Mullinax and April Clark; Four grandchildren, R.J., Damien, Bree and Madison
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia, North Carolina.
Interment will be at Evergreen at a later date.
