Gastonia – Alene Ashe Jackson, 91 passed away at her home November 13, 2014 surrounded by her loving family and the Angels she spoke of for days before her journey to her Heavenly home.
She was born in Swain County, NC on March 20, 1923 to the late Robert Amos and Mary Belle Jenkins Ashe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas Larkin Jackson; brothers Ray, Charlie and Buren Ashe, sisters Aggie Ashe, Ora McCurry, Minnie Dendy, Mae Rodman and Ever Teague
Survivors include children, Ronnie Jackson (Ronda) of Monroe, Cindy Marshall of Ranlo, Susie Brown (Larry) of Gastonia; grandchildren Shannon Rollins, Thomas Brown, Katie Nguyen, Caleb Marshall, Sam Jackson and Joe Jackson; great grandchildren Daniel Rollins Casey Rollins and Kingston Nguyen
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 16th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Nelson Hope officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00pm prior to the service
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park with the releasing of the doves
Pallbearers will be Sam Jackson, Joe Jackson, Caleb Marshall, Ronnie Jackson, Thomas and Larry Brown
