Albert L. Holcombe

Kings Mountain ' Albert Lee Holcombe, 78 of 514 Brevard Road passed away June 28, 2011 at his residence.
He was a native of Cherokee County, SC. born November 18, 1932. Son of the late Oscar Lee and Clarissa Viola Adalene Oats Holcombe.
Albert was a member of Crowders Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Margaret Christopher Holcombe, son Johnny Dean Holcome of Gastonia, daughters Julie Davenport and husband Daniel of Gastonia, and Debra Lingerfelt of Kings Mountain, sisters Etheleen Holcombe of Lowell, and Ruth Whisnant of Kings Mountain, step-sons James Kirkpatrick, David Christopher, step-daughters Sharon Kirkpatrick, and Suzanne Kirkpatrick, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and twelve step great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Robert and Gary Holcombe, and brother Floyd Holcombe
A visitation will be Thursday June 30, 2011, 6:00 ' 8:00 pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Friday June 31, 2011 at 2:30 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Laws, and Rev. Dennis Badger officiating
Entombment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.
