He was a native of Rutherford County, born February 11, 1958; Adrian was employed by the City of Gastonia as Storm Water Administrator for over 16 years, and served in the US Navy for 14 years.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Naoko Inami Sims; his daughter Sara Nagisa Hanna and her husband Bobby Hanna, Jr. of Gastonia;
his son, Julian Sims of Charlotte; his parents, Stanley and Edith Gettys Sims; his brother, Mark Sims and his wife Karen of Gastonia;
Celebration of Life service will be private. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4200 Morganton Road, Fayetteville, NC 28314
