Dallas – Addie Mae Cavin Rhyne, 92, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in McAdenville on June 16, 1925 to the late George Harrison Cavin and Violet Lily Harris Cavin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Phillip Marion Rhyne, her sister, Nelda E. Guinn and a brother, Harrison Cavin.

Addie grew up in the First United Methodist Church, McAdenville. She married Phillip and became an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she served her church faithfully. She was also very active in her children's school and community activities.
She was a loving wife, mother, MawMaw, mother-in-law, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed! Addie loved everyone!
Addie worked as a bookkeeper for over 60 years, with J.F. Bess and Company and retired from J.W. Hawkins, CPA.

Left to cherish her memories includes her children, Reverend George Rhyne, Joseph Rhyne and wife Lynn, Nancy Nation and husband Steve, Susan Rhyne; grandchildren, Russell Phillip "Rusty" Rhyne and wife Jennifer, Travis Lamar Rhyne and wife Gina, Adam Rhyne Cloninger and wife Lea; great grandchildren, Ava, Preston, Charlotte and Luther Rhyne, and Mason Cloninger; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom Rhyne, Dorothy Hovis and husband Claude, niece Anita Ferguson and husband Glenn; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to her special care givers, Franna Cline and Nancy Allen; and her dear special friend Carolyn Hawkins.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:45 p.m., Saturday June 16th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dallas with a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 p.m., with Reverend Jonathan Schnibben officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Costner, Mark Hovis, Dennis Rhyne, David Rhyne, Jeff Briggs and Ralph Rhyne.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 531 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC 28034
